area two-level restaurant and lounge
YEAR 2021
At the intersection of Upper West Side warmth and Tuscan spirit, this two-story Italian restaurant was designed to feel at once convivial and refined. The main dining level is anchored by a striking 42-½-foot bar that unfolds beneath a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows, inviting light to play across brass and glass elements while showcasing an expansive wine and spirits collection. Thoughtful detailing guides guests through the space, where custom lighting and refined millwork unify the interiors with a simple yet elegant palette that complements the rhythm of the streets beyond.
Descending to the lower level, the atmosphere shifts to a more intimate lounge infused with a rich tactile sensibility. Sumptuous velvets, tweeds, and linen seating create pockets of comfort around a flickering fireplace—a social haven for crafted cocktails, relaxed conversation, and lingering evenings. Across both levels, the design balances a sense of spirited hospitality with a quiet architectural poise, reflecting the legacy of heartfelt Italian cuisine and welcoming New York dining culture.
